Malina leslie

I grew up in Hardwick, Vermont, the youngest of three, and the only girl for three generations in the Leslie family. I was surrounded by art—my mother is a weaver (Ruby Leslie) and my father a painter and art professor at Northern Vermont University (Ken Leslie).

I graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA in English and Art, primarily fusing the two together to make comics. I have lived for periods of time in Argentina, Ghana and Malta, though I currently reside in Brooklyn, NY. Previous news-worthy art gigs include publishing a tiny book with One Page Productions, working for cartoonist Alison Bechdel doing editing and color work for her book Are You My Mother, and being the Assistant Director of the Governor's Institute on the Arts for amazing Vermont high school students each summer.

Send me an email (malinaleslie@gmail.com) or follow me on Instagram (Malina_Leslie)—I'd love to hear from you!
